‘The most important intimate relationship is the one that we develop with our own bodies.’ -M. Freeman

So many of us long for that sense of belonging, of true connection, of intimacy. And we imagine that we will find it with another person. This is possible and, in fact, likely.
In the meantime, there’s a breathtakingly beautiful intimacy available to each and every one of us at all times. And many of us willfully disregard it, neglect it, push it away.
The asana sequence is a love song…for our bodies. The practice requires us to observe our bodies in the mirror. Frequently. Carefully. With compassion.

We truly see ourselves for the first time in class…so that we can learn to love ourselves.
Consistent high-quality self care creates freedom. Freedom of movement. Freedom from pain. Freedom from misconceptions about ourselves. Freedom from suffering. So that we are better able to complete our life’s work. Outside the hot room.
